We are excited that your child will be attending Fort Daniel Elementary School, a Gwinnett County Public School. Our school system has an easy-to-use, secure online registration system that will allow you to complete many of the forms required for registering your child. Use the choices below for additional information on how to register your child.

Kindergarten Registration

Do you have a rising kindergartener?

Will your child be five years old on or before September 1, 2026?

If so, it's time to register! Registration for upcoming Kindergarten students for the new school year will begin on March 16th.

Students New to Gwinnett County Public Schools

Use the links below to complete the online registration process. Register online first, then upload the required documentation. The Student Data Management Clerk will contact you to verify the documentation.

New Student Online Registration

Students Transferring from another Gwinnett County Public School

Bring proof of residency, parent/legal guardian ID and withdrawal form from previous GCPS school when you register.

Students Currently Enrolled at Fort Daniel

Students returning to Fort Daniel do not need to complete any online registration.

Steps for Kindergarten Registration

Step 1: Complete Online Registration

For students enrolling in Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year:

If you are enrolling a new Kindergartener for the 2026-2027 school year, the child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026.

Beginning March 16th, parents will complete the Online Registration From. IMPORTANT: Please make sure you choose the 2026-2027 school year from the drop-down box.

Here is what you will need to complete the Online Registration.

After your registration is complete, you will be contacted to set up an appointment for your child to complete a Kindergarten Readiness Entry Profile. This will help us see what your child knows before entering Kindergarten.

For now, please visit the GCPS website for important information that will help the process go smoothly.

How to Upload Documents for GCPS Online Registration

Step 2: Upload Required Documentation

During the online registration process, parents will upload the required documentation.

Directions for uploading documentation during the online registration process can be found here.

Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned a teacher until ALL required documents are received.

Upon completion of the online registration process by the parent, the school will contact the parent to verify that everything has been completed and the required documentation has been submitted.

Step 3: Attend Fort Daniel Elementary's Kindergarten Roundup Event

Visit Fort Daniel Elementary on Thursday May 14th from 5:30 - 6:45 PM for our Kindergarten Roundup Event!

You will be able to register your child for our Kinder Camp class, hear a story from our School Librarian, get a tour of Fort Daniel, meet our school mascot, have your picture taken, and much more! Bring your Kindergartener with you to this event!

Please make sure you have completed the Online Registration process prior to this event.
