Dr. Barbara Tucker

Dear Fort Daniel Elementary Parents and Community Members,

It is with immense gratitude and pride that I write this letter of introduction as your principal for Fort Daniel Elementary. My name is Barbara Tucker, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Mill Creek Cluster and partner with our cluster’s outstanding principals, Fort Daniel Elementary’s amazing students, teachers, families, and community.

When I began my journey as an educator, I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those I served, and this continues to be the vital component of what drives me every day to support teaching and learning. I have been serving students, teachers, and families in Gwinnett County Public Schools for over 15 years. I began my career in Cobb County as an elementary and later middle school teacher supporting students in the areas of Language Arts and Social Studies. After relocating to Gwinnett County, I had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal for Bethesda Elementary for 6 years.

In closing, I am continually reminded that our greatest resource in our schools and communities is each other. Together we create a school we all love. Fort Daniel Elementary stands for success, and each school year brings new opportunities to grow and learn together.

Mrs. Jennifer Hicks

Mrs. Hicks earned her Ed.S in from Mercer University, her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University, and a B.S. in Human Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.  Prior to coming to Fort Daniel, Mrs. Hicks taught at Harmony Elementary School and Bethesda Elementary School in Gwinnett County.  Mrs. Hicks is married to her high school sweetheart.  They have three boys.  Two have gone through the Fort K-5th and one is currently at the Fort!

Mrs. Angela Williams

Mrs. Williams is proud to serve as Assistant Principal to the Fort Daniel Community. She is dedicated to fostering a positive, student-centered environment where all children can thrive. A native of South Georgia, she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Mercer University.

Mrs. Williams believes that education unlocks opportunities and empowers future generations. Her passion lies in instructional leadership, leadership development, continuous learning, and supporting students, staff, and families in achieving excellence.

Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, exploring new experiences, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Williams is honored to serve the Fort Daniel community and values partnering with students, staff, and families to help every child reach their fullest potential.
